2010 Acura RL Overview

Introduction

As the flagship for the Acura Division, the Acura RL is one of the most sophisticated touring sedans on the road, blending smooth power and responsive handling with cutting-edge technologies and luxurious appointments.
The RL is powered by a 300-hp 3.7-liter V6 engine, paired to a five-speed automatic transmission with SportShift manual mode and paddle shifters. Acura's exclusive Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system enhances grip, stability and all-weather control, while an electric power assist steering system provides direct feedback. Every RL is outfitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, Xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights and a power moonroof; interior comforts include heated front seats, leather upholstery, automatic climate control,

satellite radio, HandsFreeLink (Bluetooth) wireless connectivity, Bluetooth wireless audio streaming and a USB port. The available Technology package adds heated/ventilated front seats, an Active Front Lighting System (AFS), and a voice-activated navigation system with integrated rearview camera parking assist and real-time traffic and weather information. Additional available high-tech equipment includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and a Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS). Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with traction control, front side-impact airbags, overhead curtain airbags, active front head restraints and a tire pressure monitoring system.
Following an extensive redesign last year, the Acura RL carries over unchanged for 2010.
